I’m just a small club with a couple of teams, is it worth using SportCheck?

It makes no difference to the club or SportCheck how big or small your club or school is, as we have many clubs using SportCheck with just one team/ class. We also have large clubs and schools using SportCheck with over 300 teams/groups.

How secure is the information I supply to SportCheck and who has access to this information?

SportCheck has gone to extraordinary lengths to ensure that the information supplied is kept totally secure. All data is housed on an independent server (WEBDRIVE). When someone opts-in to receive a message the only information held is the mobile number. The authorised personnel of a club or a school can view these numbers and can of course send a message to that number and that’s it.

Once I’ve opted-in to receive a message from my club or school, can anyone else send me a message other than the club or school to which I subscribed?

Your number is exclusive to the club or school to which you subscribed and you can only receive a message from the authorised personnel within the club or school.

Once I have opted-in and I no longer want to receive a message, how do I stop this from happening?

There are a number of ways to do this; the easiest is to reply to a message you have just received from your club or school with the word “stop”. The other way is to text/sms the word “stop” to 63366. You can also go to www.sportcheck.co.uk and click on “stop/restart text delivery”, enter in your mobile number and untick the box beside the group you don’t want to receive a message from; this last one is the best way if you are opted into multiple groups.

I have a prepay mobile phone, what happens if I don’t have enough credit on my mobile phone to receive a message?

A message won’t get to you. Some mobile networks do send a message to say that a message cannot get to you because you don’t have enough credit. However it's best to ensure you have enough credit on your mobile phone.

I can send bulk text messages from my mobile phone. Why do I need to use SportCheck?

Firstly, SportCheck is an integrated text message facility that works right through a club or a school, so when a team or a class member are registering to receive a message from their team or class they are also registering to receive a message from a higher authority within their club or school.
Secondly, with SportCheck the receiver pays. This can become a significant saving for the sender over a season or school term.
Thirdly, with SportCheck it puts the responsibility to receive a message with the receiver so that the sender does not have to manage mobile number lists and constantly update changes. No more I DID NOT GET THE MESSAGE!!
